The workshops
The EU-funded project ICT-WEB-PROMS organised two thematic workshops on 10 May 2010 in Skopje, Macedonia, for the themes “ICT for Health in the Western Balkan countries and the EU” (morning session) and “Network and Service Infrastructures – the future Internet” (afternoon session).
On the day after, 11 May, a follow up workshop explained all procedural, administrative and financial aspects of participation in FP7/ICT (for further information on this workshop please click here).
The programme
This one-day event addressed stakeholders from the Western Balkan countries (WBC). It intended to provide an overview of research excellence in the area of eHealth and Network & Service Infrastructures in the WBC and information regarding possibilities of participating in EU-funded related projects. Participants:
- Were informed on the status quo of research in the WBC and in the EU and roadmaps for the future
- Received guidance regarding the European Commission’s programmes related to ICT for Health and Network & Service Infrastructures
- Received information about the current participation of the WBC in EU projects
- Benefited from the presentation of best practices and EU project experiences
- Presented their own best practices in the field of ICT for Health and Network & Service Infrastructures
