Learning In Today's World: Blending The Best Of Formal, Informal And Social Approaches- Implementing The New Blended Model

Starts: Oct 19, 2010, [Tue] 02:00 PM Eastern (EDT, North America/US)
Ends: Oct 19, 2010, [Tue] 03:00 PM Eastern (EDT, North America/US)

The buzz about informal, formally-informal and social learning continues to grow in intensity. Organizations know they need to jump onto this bandwagon, but they wonder both are these approaches valid and how can I ensure I’m successful. Formal learning is well established and is well understood. But informal learning while seemingly obvious appears too broad, formally-informal seems too ill-defined and the definition of social learning is still evolving. Come and join me in this webinar series to learn how to blend these new learning approaches in news ways to extend, enable and enhance learning to meet the needs to today’s world.

Come and join me in this webinar to learn when and how you should apply these new blended solutions, how to market them to senior management, mid-management and the workforce, and what it takes to successfully implement them to ensure powerful results.

CSEDU 2011

CALL FOR PAPERS

International Conference on Computer Supported Education - CSEDU 2011

Website: http://www.csedu.org

May 6 - 9, 2011
Noordwijkerhout, The Netherlands

The paper submission deadline for CSEDU 2011 has been extended to next October 25.

The IJAS Conference , Rome, November 22 - 25, 2010.

The IJAS Conference Series takes place annually in several cities across Europe and North America. The conference will be held during November 22-25, 2010.
The series has three primary aims:

The first aim is to provide opportunities for academics from a range of disciplines and countries to share their research both through the conference podium and IJAS's double-blind refereed publications. All the IJAS conferences are inter- and multi-disciplinary.

The second aim of the Conference Series is to provide opportunities for academics to receive informal in-depth feedback through discussions and to enable them to establish contact with professionals in other countries and institutions. The tours are the main way of "breaking the ice" away from the formalities of the conference hall, providing an informal setting for discussing different points of view. Even in an increasingly networked world of internet and satellite conferences, there is no substitute for personal interaction—what Edward R. Murrow calls "the last three feet of communication." It is individuals, not data streams, who must ultimately build the connections that in turn create lasting international research partnerships.
